seller called the pickup list 'my second brain.' fighting the urge to slap it on the homepage immediately lol.
A lightweight order list for small sellers taking orders in chat.
The milestones that explain how the project has evolved.
The project started with a simple need: A lightweight order list for small sellers taking orders in chat.
The first build kept MarketMate focused on one useful workflow before adding broader tooling.
The stock list moved ahead of the sales chart after sellers tried it outdoors. Bigger numbers and a last-updated time mattered more than another dashboard card.
A preorder pilot worked for a small market day. Keeping stock accurate across in-person sales was the hard part, so the project narrowed its test before closing.
A few sellers used the preorder flow, but finding enough of them and keeping in-person stock in sync took more time than the project could support. I am closing it with a better sense of where small retailers need help first.

chat order → pickup list, without making the seller copy/paste the whole convo. tiny thing, saves a lot of faffing about.
watched a seller use the list on a packed saturday. didn't touch settings once. honestly, that's the whole bar.

Quote of the day“Your project is also your teacher.”

been asked a bunch how i went from doing the work for clients to making software for that slice. finally wrote the whole thing out
Help MarketMate learn from real people.
Try a sample preorder and stock adjustment. What would you need before trusting MarketMate during a busy market?
